One System, Both Seasons

London summers are getting hotter and homes are better insulated than ever, which is exactly why they hold heat overnight. Modern air conditioning solves that, and heats the room in winter too.

Cool Through Heatwaves
Bring a room down to a comfortable temperature within minutes, and hold it there. No more sleepless nights or unusable loft rooms in July.
Heat in Winter Too
Every system we fit is a reversible air-to-air heat pump. It warms a single room quickly without heating the entire house. Ideal for spring and autumn.
Cheap to Run
For each 1kW of electricity drawn, a modern unit moves 3–4kW of heat. That efficiency is why heating one room this way often undercuts running the boiler.
Cleaner Air
Built-in filtration captures dust, pollen, and airborne particles as it circulates. A real benefit for hay fever sufferers and anyone living near a main road.
Quiet by Design
Indoor units run from around 19dB, quieter than a whisper and far quieter than a portable unit. You will forget it is switched on.
Lower Carbon Heating
Running on electricity rather than gas, a heat pump paired with solar panels can heat and cool your home on almost entirely self-generated energy.

The Right System for Your Home

From a single room to a whole house. We survey your property and specify a system sized properly for it, not sold off a shelf.

Single Split Systems

One indoor unit, one outdoor condenser. The most cost-effective way to cool and heat a bedroom, home office, or loft conversion. Usually fitted in a single day.

Multi-Room Systems

Up to five indoor units running from one outdoor condenser, each controlled independently. One discreet outdoor box for the whole house instead of one per room.

Servicing & Repairs

Annual servicing to keep your system efficient and its warranty valid, plus repairs and re-gassing for existing units, whoever installed them.

From Survey to First Cool Breeze

A properly sized system is a quiet, cheap one. An oversized system short-cycles, and an undersized one runs flat out. So we measure first.

01

Free Home Survey

We measure each room, assess glazing, insulation, and orientation, and calculate the actual cooling load. We also agree where the outdoor unit can sit discreetly.

02

Design & Fixed Quote

You get a specified system, a pipework route, and a fixed price, with no day-rate surprises. We confirm whether permitted development covers the outdoor unit.

03

Clean Installation

Indoor unit mounted, condenser sited, refrigerant pipework run and pressure-tested. One day for a single room, two to three for a multi-room system.

04

Commission & Aftercare

We commission the system, hand over the controls, and register your warranty. Annual servicing keeps it efficient and keeps that warranty valid.

What Does Air Conditioning Cost?

The honest answer is that it depends on the room and the pipework run, but the figures opposite are the range most London homes land in. A single bedroom system is a straightforward job; a multi-room install across three or four rooms is a bigger one.

Because these systems heat as well as cool, the running cost is offset by what you no longer spend firing the boiler for one cold room. We will give you a fixed price after the survey, and finance is available to spread it.

Air Conditioning FAQ

How much does air conditioning cost to install in London?
A single wall-mounted split system for one room typically costs £1,500–£2,500 fully installed. A multi-split system serving three or four rooms from one outdoor unit usually falls between £4,000 and £7,000. The final figure depends on room size, pipework runs, and where the outdoor unit can be sited. We confirm it after a free home survey, with finance available to spread the cost.
Can air conditioning heat my home as well as cool it?
Yes. Modern systems are air-to-air heat pumps, which means they run in reverse to heat a room as efficiently as they cool it. For every 1kW of electricity they use, they typically move 3–4kW of heat, so they can be a genuinely cheap way to heat a room in spring and autumn without firing up the whole central heating system.
Do I need planning permission for air conditioning?
For most London homes, no. A single outdoor unit usually falls under permitted development provided it sits below a certain size, isn’t on a wall facing a highway, and is at least one metre from the boundary. Flats, listed buildings, and conservation areas are the common exceptions. We check this during the survey and handle any application if one is needed.
How disruptive is the installation?
A single-room system is normally a one-day job. Multi-room systems take two to three days. The work involves mounting the indoor unit, siting the outdoor condenser, and running a small refrigerant pipe between the two, which usually means one core drill through an external wall. We sheet up, work clean, and tidy fully before we leave.
How often does air conditioning need servicing?
Once a year. An annual service keeps the filters clean, checks the refrigerant charge, and keeps the system running at its rated efficiency. A neglected unit quietly costs more to run and fails sooner. It’s also normally a condition of keeping the manufacturer warranty valid. We offer annual servicing alongside our boiler service plans.
